Chicken Curry Recipe

This recipe is for chicken curry, a dish that is popular in many parts of the world. It is made with chicken, a variety of spices, and usually served with rice. Tender chicken cooked in a fragrant curry sauce, served over steamed rice, makes for a delicious and satisfying meal. This recipe can be easily tailored to your liking - add more spice if you like it hot, or tone it down by using less curry paste.


Spices:


  • Ground cumin

  • Turmeric

  • Curry powder

  • Garam masala powder

  • Cinnamon

  • Black pepper

  •  Ground mustard

  •  Ground cloves

  • Ground coriander

  • Salt

Ingredients:

  • Chicken, cut into pieces

  • Onion, chopped

  • Garlic, chopped

  • Ginger, chopped

  • Tomatoes, chopped

  • Tomato paste

  • Carrots

  • Green onions

  • Coconut cream

  • Olive oil


Instructions:


  • In a large bowl, combine chicken and spice blend


  • In a large skillet over medium heat , heat oil . Add onion ,ginger and garlic and cook until softened.


  • Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.


  • Add chicken broth, tomato paste, and coconut cream . Bring to a simmer and cook until chicken is cooked through, about 15-20mins.                                                                * for a thicker curry add cornstarch slurry *


  • Add topping tomatoes, carrots , green onions and sesame seeds


  • Serve hot with rice or bread
